At Light of Christ our focus is simply Jesus: learning to listen to Him, committing our lives to Him, and then following Him into the lives He has prepared for us.
A PLACE TO BELONG
"No one needs a church. Everyone needs a church family." We are finding this longing in many people. In a world where we are surrounded by superficiality, God has created us to be in meaningful, loving, and encouraging relationships. We desire that everyone would come to know the Father; His perfect love and peace.
A PLACE TO BELIEVE
We have been created to believe in God, but we tend to misplace that faith. We put our faith in ourselves, our families, other people, or things; no wonder there is so much disillusionment and despair. At LOC we encourage each other with this simple phrase: “Eyes on Jesus”. He is the Author and Perfector of our faith. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. We place our faith in Jesus, learn to follow Him, and He takes care of the rest.
A PLACE TO BE LOVED
We live in a world that knows nothing about unconditional love, because the world does not know Jesus. The world is chasing what Christ freely gives to us: perfect love. We cannot save ourselves from our sins, so Jesus paid for all of them; he died for us so we can live with God forever. This is love. As we continually receive His love, we get the joy of pouring it out to our family, friends, neighbors...everyone.
A PLACE TO BECOME
We are created to conform our lives to Jesus; not to the world. As followers of Jesus we are always becoming more and more like Him, through the work of the Holy Spirit within us. More grace, more love, more peace, and more hope as we follow Jesus. This is the adventure we are created to live, caring for others every step of the way.
